Wake Up Sheeple!

Jean Schmidt (R-Nutjob-Ohio), go to Crooks and Liars (scroll down) and listen to this woman on Hardball from last night, she is nuts, delusional, and obviously drank way too much of the Bushies kool-aid. She is running against Paul Hackett on Tuesday in a special election in Ohio for Congress. I donated a little to Hackett, after seeing this I wished I had driven to Ohio this weekend to canvas. It's almost as if she is a pod-person, repeting Bushie talking points and not having a clue what the hell she is saying, freedom is on the march!

Time once again for a Sheepole letter to the editor smack down: thanks to Sheepole Arvid Jacobson of Caledonia, Minn for his words of tunnel vision impaired wisdom, “Who is the real ‘ugly American?'
I, along with other concerned Americans, flinch at the news stories from around the world concerning our bad image. However, what is the impression people get? Is it the sight of Americans giving life and limb so the Iraqi people can vote and have the freedoms we take for granted?

Hey Arvid, what about the 100,000 plus Iraqis who have given life and limb because of our illegal presence in their country. Prior to our invasion there were no car bombings, or suicide bombers in Iraq, boy I bet they are overjoyed to us for giving them American brand Democracy. Let me guess you still believe their were WMD’s in Iraq, Saddam was responsible for 9-11, and had ties to Al Qaeda?
I would think the real "ugly image" is the sight of pompous politicians who have used their millions for legal fees that have literally kept them out of prison for their own misdeeds. With the right lawyer, the most guilty can walk free and go on C-Span and lecture on how judges should rule and how our armies should be run.

Correct me if I’m wrong Arvid but in a Democracy we elect politicians to Congress so they can go there to debate (discuss) the issues, not just to rubber stamp everything that comes their way. We are still living in a two-party system aren’t we?
Sen. Edward Kennedy has made a mockery of Camelot and what his three brothers died for. Now the black sheep of the family thinks he speaks for our country.

Ah, just can’t let poor Teddy go can you. Again, he has been elected to Congress, thus, he is allowed to speak.
Sen. Robert Byrd walked away from the disgusting leadership of the KKK to the halls of the Senate where he now claims to represent America. Good lawyers.

Sen. Byrd didn’t need a lawyer because he belonged to the KKK for a very short time during his youth, so your analogy is faulty. Besides he was just a member not a leader like Sean Hannity told you.
Sen. Hillary Clinton has spent millions on lawyers and now wants to be president. Good lawyers.

Hey, Arvid can you name for me one crime Hillary was convicted of after the Republican controlled congress spent $80 million dollars on a witch hunt against her husband, all over a failed land-deal (where the Clinton’s LOST money) and a consensual sexual affair?
It's time for the real Americans to step forward and be counted.

Ah, real Americans like Karl Rove, who you can bet is lawyered-up to his ass with the other’s in the Bush administration who outed a CIA agent in the time of war. I guess Treason is okay with you Arvid?
The farmers, laborers, factory workers and all the "little people" who made this country what is great today. We still have time, with our votes, to offset the votes of the left and return our image to one of pride the world over.

Spare me your one-sided indignation, you show your true colors by the weak and lame examples you pick out. Money buys lawyers and both sides play the same game! Nothing makes me madder than people like you who think your side is above reproach and the other side is corrupt to its core. I’m as partisan as they come and I would never be as blinded as you are. Keep watching your FOX news and listening to Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity and you will remain an ignorant Sheepole.

Note: When ever possible, if I can find the Sheepole's address I will send them my response and a note of thanks for sharing their ignorance with us. Arvid will be getting a snail-mail letter soon, that should make his Sheepole head explode!

Karl, Karl, Karl by Ruth Lopez. Read this insightful take on Turd Blossom and Bush. Bush and Rove are joined at the hip, in a sick sense they are one and the same, and that raises interesting questions as to possible outcomes.
Rove is not just a team member serving at the pleasure of the president. He is, in the context of what he knows about the President and his Administration, the closest thing to a co-president this country has ever had. Unholy matrimony. So, is there even a snowball's chance in Hell that Bush would let Karl go down? With what Karl knows? Does anyone believe for a minute that Karl's ego would allow him to take one for his "boss"?

Don’t want the kiddies thinking that their glorious leader has the bully behavior of your typical ten-year old, with the potty mouth to match, now can we. As if children are reading Doonesbury. The lengths the MSM goes to, to polish the image of and prop up the pResident boy chimp! USA Today.
A dozen newspapers refused to carry Garry Trudeau's Doonesbury comic strip yesterday, because it referred to Bush advisor Karl Rove by the moniker "Turd Blossom." It has been widely reported already that "Turd Blossom" is indeed the president's nickname for Mr. Rove. Some of the newspapers, which included the Rhode Island daily the Providence Journal, called the remarks "potty humor," and edited the offending language from the strip before publication. Others simply went without.

Trudeau nails it on the head:
In an e-mail Tuesday, creator Garry Trudeau said he used the nickname since it "had been widely reported" and "many people would already know it. I thought it said something quite illuminating about Bush. Nicknaming people is a very aggressive form of bullying, and the sheer inventiveness of 'turd blossom' revealed just how nasty the president can be, even to people he is close to."

Gosh I wished we had a Costco here where I live in Wisconsin! This excellent article in the New York Times, How Costco Became the Anti-Wal-Mart, subtly points out one of the most important difference between Republicans and Progressive Democrats.
Some Wall Street analysts assert that Mr. Sinegal [Costco CEO] is overly generous not only to Costco's customers but to its workers as well. Costco's average pay, for example, is $17 an hour, 42 percent higher than its fiercest rival, Sam's Club. And Costco's health plan makes those at many other retailers look Scroogish. One analyst, Bill Dreher of Deutsche Bank, complained last year that at Costco "it's better to be an employee or a customer than a shareholder.”

The Walton family of Wal-Mart are big Republican donors, very vocal and active in the Republican campaign to overturn the Inheritance Tax, or as I prefer to call it “The Paris Hilton Tax cut.” The Waltons and Republicans are all about widening the gap between the rich and the poor, and protecting the very wealthy. But Progressives like Mr. Sinegal ask why can’t everyone have a piece of the pie, yet, the middle class to lower to middle class Sheepole keep voting against their own best interests? I for one will never again shop at Wal-Mart, sure they have great prices, but at the expense of the workers, just so the rich can get richer. Oh, I know the Sheepole response, “you Commie Socialist.”

Jon Stewart smacks down Rick "Man on Dog" Santorum.
Virtue is unrelated to sexuality.

and moments later Jon added religion.
I would add party affiliation to that list!

Ricky "Man on Dog" thinks that Victoria Secret catalogs are the real problem with America, never mind, the nearly 1,800 dead American soldiers who have died for Bush's lies. Never mind that we will reap the blow back for invading Iraq for years to come. But in Ricky boys 1950's (never existed America) as long as we can prevent queers from marrying everything will be hunky dorky gee whiz swell. Anybody else think that Ricky boy has some real repressed sexuality issues?

Heads Up: Rick “Man on Dog” Santorum will be on the Daily Show tonight it should be priceless! In honor of Man on Dog’s appearance, I give you one sick Conservatives take on Ricky boys rediculous book, It Takes a Family, taken from the website Conservatives for American Values:

Friends, I have great news! Rick Santorum, America's senator, has written a book. I've waited years for this man's sage words to be put to paper. Now, the teachings of Rick Santorum can be passed down throughout the ages. My great grandson will now one day be able to read about of the horrors of homosexuals destroying families and radical feminists forcing mothers into the workplace.

The title of his new groundbreaking book is "It Takes a Family" which is a clever play on the title of that uppity Hillary Clinton's book "It Takes a Village." We had to wait nearly a decade for an answer to her idiotic proposition that a child is raised not just by a family, but also by teachers, community members and religious leders. His literary retort was well worth the wait.

There are a few portions of this book I especially liked, including:

The notion that college education is a cost-effective way to help poor, low-skill, unmarried mothers with high school diplomas or GEDs move up the economic ladder is just wrong.

I've always been firmly against educating unwed mothers. This only rewards them for their disgusting behavior. We certainly have no moral obligation to help an unchaste woman work her way out of a difficult financial situation. No, indeed our responsibility is to firmly say to her: "You've made your bed, now you must lie in it." We also have a further responsibility to make this bed as uncomfortable as possible to worsen the punishment inflicted upon this godless harlot.

Another of my favorite parts is this:
Many women have told me, and surveys have shown, that they find it easier, more “professionally” gratifying, and certainly more socially affirming, to work outside the home than to give up their careers to take care of their children. Think about that for a moment…Here, we can thank the influence of radical feminism, one of the core philosophies of the village elders.

I couldn't have said it better myself, senator, although I probably would have replaced the phrase "village elders" with "godless liberals." If women were truly meant to have careers outside of the home then God would not have outfitted them with inferior brains. Women working outside the home runs directly counter to God's plan and I applaud Rick for taking such a principled stand on this.

This book has truly inspired me, and he's right, it does take a family alone to raise a child. Who better to teach my kids than their parents? Both my boys will be home schooled next year. And who better, I ask, to teach them about Christ than their father? My children will observe the Sabbath in the Church of Michael Gregory Steele from now on. My children will be protected in my warm bosom from the dangers of atheists, liberals, and homosexuals.

Thank you, senator Santorum, thank you. I guess that sometimes it takes a senator named Santorum to show you the light.

And thank you Conservatives for American Values for an excellent paradoy, however, it wouldn't surpise me much if there are real Conservatives out there who think just like this! Don't forget to tune into the The Daily Show tonight, you have to give it Ricky boy he has balls!

Bush fulfills bin Laden’s greatest wishes. Bin Laden must be very happy about now, Bush could care less about capturing him and he has given bin Laden a worldwide recruting poster for terrorists by his stupidity and incompetence in invading and occupying Iraq.

'Iraq has been an absolute gift to al-Qaida'
Anger over the U.S.-led war in Iraq and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict also seems to be providing some inspiration, despite early arguments from Bush administration officials that fighting insurgents in Iraq would help prevent them from launching attacks on Western targets. The war has instead turned into a recruiting tool, experts said.

Iraq has been an absolute gift to al-Qaida, said Paul Rogers, a professor of peace studies at England's Bradford University. [Al-Qaida] seems to have no difficulty in getting more and more recruits.

Use your brains for once Sheepole, it isn’t because “they hate our freedoms.” Think how stupid that is logically, terrorists are going to strap bombs to themselves and blow themselves up because we have freedoms in America, ya right. They hate us because we have f-ing invaded and are occupying their lands. Ya, I know "freedom is on the march," and all, think about it if you are an Iraqi might you see it very differently? We are going to be feeling the blow back from Bushie boys incompetence and stupidity for years and years to come, because Bush has poked the hornets nest hard, time and time again, and the hornets are multiplying at a much faster rate than we can kill them, why can’t you Sheepole wrap your tiny little brains around that simple idea - what will it take to wake you Sheepole up from your fear induced, Fox News stupors?
