Wake Up Sheeple!

pResident Bush lamented the deaths of 14 Marines in Iraq yesterday, calling the deadly attack a "grim reminder" America is still at war. You know he thinks about Iraq everyday he told us so, even when on vacation for the entire month of August (for the 50th time of his pResdiency) at his phony prop ranch.
"Make no mistake about it," Bush said "We are at war."

Wait, I thought it was not a war anymore but a "global struggle against violent extremism" what heppened, did Bush leave his 3x5 notecard back at the White House? So what is it a "War" or a "Struggle," can't these idiots make up their minds?

21 Dead American soldiers in Iraq in the past 24 hours. 21 families whose lives have been shattered forever. Over 1,800 dead, and how about the wounded, maimed, and psychologically screwed up. I wonder if Barbara Bush (the old one) has wasted one second of her beautiful mind on these deaths and shattered families?
But why should we hear about body bags, and deaths, and how many, what day it's gonna happen, and how many this or what do you suppose? Or, I mean, it's, it's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that? And watch him suffer. — Barbara Bush on "Good Morning America," March 18, 2003

Kudos to Paul Hackett. Hackett loses 48-52 to a shrill Bush apologist. He didn't win but he sent a message to the Repubs about 2006, "Be very very scarred." Here is what Repub political strategist Charlie Cook said about the Ohio 2nd Congressional race prior to the election:
If Schmidt's victory margin is in double digits, this tells us that there is not much of an anti-GOP wind in Ohio right now. If the margin is say six to nine points for Schmidt, then there is a wind, but certainly no hurricane. A Schmidt win of less than five points should be a very serious warning sign for Ohio Republicans that something is very, very wrong, while a Hackett victory would be a devastating blow to the Ohio GOP.

Here are the past election results in that district:
OH-2 Past Election Results:
2004: 72% to 28%
2002: 74% to 26%
2000: 74% to 23%
1998: 76% to 24%

As I see it things are only going to get worse for the Bushies. Inditments should be coming down soon in the Rove treason affair. The death toll in Iraq just passed 1,800 with no end in sight. Fourteen Marines died today in Iraq in one incident, seven yesterday, but freedom is on the march. But, hey Bush thinks about Iraq everyday, he told us so. I wonder if he is thinking about Iraq today as he vacations for the entire month on his phony prop ranch? You can bet that the boy monkey step out of his air-conditioned comfort and clear some bush for ten minuets or so for the camera. And the brain-dead Sheepole will exclaim that "he is such a common man, one of us!" What should be in the back of his mind is the 2006 elections, if one of his advisors dare tells him, because he proudly tells us that he dosen't follow the news. I love the smell of impeachment!

Fox News: "Is it Time for Jimmy Carter to Just SHUT UP?!" Thanks to News Hounds. One of Sean Hannity's favorite right-wing cliches is that the left is "shrill and unhinged." I wonder if Sean will call his network mate Neil Cavuto on his shrill and unhinged rhetoric?

Neil Cavuto, who Fox touts as its head honcho business news guy, opened his "business" show (yeah, right) like this today (August 1, 2005):
Well, is Jimmy Carter's popping off about Gitmo while speaking abroad traitorous, and for our markets, potentially ruinous? Today, why a top Carter critic says he's gone from being nuts to now just dangerous."

Cavuto outlined some of the items he'd cover later in the show and then Fox played a video clip of former President Carter saying, "I think what's going on at Guantanamo Bay and in Abu Ghraib and other places is a disgrace to the United States of America."
Cavuto continued, "Is it time for Jimmy Carter to just shut up?! Today a look at comments he made abroad this weekend and why some say he's hurting our country's image and yes, maybe our country's stocks."

Of course "SHUT-UP" has become a new right-wing talking point. We'll be waiting Sean?

Jean Schmidt right-wing nut-job, liar with memory problems (just look at this photo), who if there is a God in Heaven, will lose to Paul Hackett in Ohio today!

"Karl's got my complete confidence. He's a valuable member of my team."

the frat-boy pResident standing up for a liar, who at a minimum outed a CIA agent in a time of war, and who likely committed TREASON. Boy, these two are really joined at the hip/brain, this is one sick-relationship. Makes you wonder what Karl would do if Bush cut him loose, what dirty little secrets might come out? Or, also makes one wonder if Bush could function without his creator? Where is the Republican outrage? Anyone?

"Ridiculous" says Condi (the Oil Tanker Queen), the war in Iraq isn't creating more terrorists.

Condi when asked by Jim Lehhrer (PBS Thursday evening) this question: “What about the additional element here that, increasingly, terrorism experts and Muslim experts are saying that the combination of Iraq and other foreign policy decisions by the United States are actually creating more terrorists every day than they are eliminating them. Here are the some highlights of her simplistic, vague and avoding answer:
CONDOLEEZZA RICE: When we are going to stop making excuses for the terrorists? The terrorists on Sept. 11 attacked the United States. We weren't in Iraq. We weren't even in Afghanistan on Sept. 11. They have attacked in places that had no forces in either place. They've attacked all over the world. They've attacked in Morocco and in Bali and in Egypt and in London and in Madrid. When are we going to stop making excuses for the terrorists and saying that somebody is making them do it? No, these are simply evil people who want to kill. And they want to kill in the name of a perverted ideology that really is not Islam, but they somehow want to claim that mantle to say that this is about some kind of grievance. This isn't about some kind of grievance. This is an effort to destroy, rather than to build.

Wow, just how stupid and short sighted are the highlighted portions. The terrorists are simply evil people with no human motivations, case closed, in other words they are simply animals that need to be exterminated. Hey Condi, maybe, just maybe they do have greivances like the Bushie boy invading an Arab country that had NOTHING to do with 9-11. Gee, I don't know, but if you are going to defeat an enemy don't you want to understand their motivations? Oh, wait, I know the Sheepole response here, the whole Karl Rove and "liberals just want to give them therapy" bit.

Here is Condi just moments later repeating the same talking points just to make sure that the Sheepole see how stupid this notion that our presense in Iraq is creating more terrorists
And until everybody in the world calls it by name -- the evil that it is -- stops making excuses for them, then I think we're going to have a problem. And I hope that after the bombings of innocent people in London, innocent people at Sharm el-Sheikh, innocent children in Iraq, that people will call this by name and stop making excuses for these people. No one is making them do it. They're doing it because they want to create chaos and to undermine our way to life.

No Condi, they couldn't give a shit about our way of life, what they give a shit about is our illegal intrusion and war; the forcing of our way of life upon their lives. You must really think that the American people are really stupid to buy this simplistic and illogical line of reasoning, oh wait, the Sheepole are stupid, they don't think. If you just speak slowly to them and sprinkle your answer with a few 9-11's and evil references they eat it up like pigs in a mud hole.

But then low and behold in Sunday's Independent (Britain). Extraordinary admission to interrogators by London bomb suspect Osman Hussain.
Hussain a suspected member of the 21 July bomb cell has told investigators he was motivated by the Iraq war, not religion.
Hussain: Rather than praying, we had discussions about work, politics, the war in Iraq," Hussain said of the gatherings in the gym, according to La Repubblicanewspaper and an Italian news agency. The would-be bombers watched films, especially those in which you saw women and children killed and exterminated by the English and American soldiers, or widows, mothers and daughters who were crying

Wow, definative proof that Condi is clueless. But hey Condi, not to worry the Sheepole don't read and they certainly don't read the liberal foreign press, so you're load of crap is safe with them!
