Wake Up Sheeple!

It's Time To Wake up NOW! - What will it take? Bush starts an illegal war – kills thousands – is creating an Islamic Theocracy where one didn't exist - fails to protect the Homeland and a dwindling number of raving Sheepole still stand by the Bubble Boy president! What will it take? From the 'Times-Picayune'

In early 2004, as the cost of the conflict in Iraq soared, President Bush proposed spending less than 20 percent of what the Corps said was needed for Lake Pontchartrain, according to a Feb. 16, 2004, article, in New Orleans CityBusiness.

On June 8, 2004, Walter Maestri, emergency management chief for Jefferson Parish, Louisiana; told the Times-Picayune: "It appears that the money has been moved in the president's budget to handle homeland security and the war in Iraq, and I suppose that's the price we pay. Nobody locally is happy that the levees can't be finished, and we are doing everything we can to make the case that this is a security issue for us.

We impeached Clinton for a blow-job? I'd say our priorities in this country are all screwed up!

  • "Illegal war" assumes 2 things. First, that the US has waived its sovereignty to the UN which it has not. Second, it assumes there was no UN approval for this action. There were 17 resolutions supporting the right to this action. The first gulf war did not end, it was in hibernation via a cease-fire agreement. The day Sadaam broke it, the US had the right to go back in but Clinton had other things on his mind at the time.

Having the forsight to see that some prone to criticism would not accept 17 resolutions supporting his action, he asked for an 18th and was denied by the countries on the take in the oil for food debacle.

The 18th resolution would be similar to re-dotting an 'i' or re-crossing a 't'. If this war was illegal, alot of democrats including John Kerry and Hillary Clinton voted to authorize an illegal activity.

Words like 'illegal' are very easy to throw around like a frisbee. One can as easily claim it is a 'zuccini war' or a 'fuzzy war'. To ascribe 'illegal war' is just as silly.

  • all I can stands: There are all kinds of U.N. Resolutions that are currently being broken - some concerning Israel, we can't and should not enforce them all. We had UN inspectors on the ground working, not finding much and Bush said he intended to exhaust all diplomatic means, yet the numerous Downing Street memos out of the British Government tell a different story. The story, that the war was on shaky legal grounds and that the intelligence had to be fixed around the facts to make it work. You are correct "illegal" might be too strong of a word, but I think if the evidence is fully brought to light a case can be made. At a minimum this War is "illegal" in the sense that it making it far less safe. The more terrorists you kill the more you create, plain and simple, open your mind and wrap your mind around that one. You can't kill all the terrorists; there is no finite number!

  • Thanks for ever so slightly backing off on the 'illegal' word. Your credibility just went up with me a few points.

Hey, I only heard of one downing street memo and you are mentioning numerous. Obviously they send alot all the time there, but more than 1 on the topic of doctoring intelligence? The one where the original was destroyed. I read alot of news (no, not just Fox) and did not see. If you have a link for these other memos, I would be interested in reading about them.

Off to work. It's been fun.

It doesn't surprise me at all that you use the term "illegal war" you also say that we impeached Clinton for a "blow job" when you should know full well that he was impeached for one count of purgery and one count of obstruction of justice. A totally different thing. --Oh yeah I forgot you were a liberal PhD, Hellbent on rewriting history!

  • Car, I pity you, I really do. Enjoy your sick Christian world, where all that matters are God, Guns and Gays. I really hope you enjoy the hell and economic meltdown that is coming your way, courtesy of your Bubble Boy pResident, but he is a Godly man - my ass. But I hate to break it to you car, Bush doesn’t give a shit about you and your kind and the sad thing is that like most Sheepole you are far too stupid to realize it.

I just don't get you. Bush obviously cares about me and my kind look at his priorities:
    1. Make big business bigger
    2. Kill the terrorists-keeping business more profitable
    3. get rid of filthy hippie outdated social programs like social security and welfare and reduce taxes to the rich
    4. Increase the profit of oil producers
I'm loving it and loving the increase in my stock portfolio!
